Snapping into the module bay of the Optiset E Basic, Advance and Advance Plus phones, the Data Adapter enhances the data-switching capabilities of the Hicom 300E, transmitting data to and from other industry standard data devices at speeds up to 38.4 kbps. And because it supports Windows TAPI, it lets employees automate phone use and take advantage of PC-based applications. Can be used to access a modem pool through the Hicom or WAN access equipment for greater control over modems and centralized recording of detailed records and account codes. Connects to a serial port on a PC or terminal with an RS232 cable.
